Haiku is a 17-syllable verse form consisting of three metrical units of 5, 7, and 5 syllables.
The other day, my wife uttered the above phrase about a friend's situation. Upon reflection (actually, upon my attention drifting away from the point of discussion), I realized her comment fit the format of haiku.
I wondered if others have had this happen - where a comment or phrase comes out as haiku.
