“She can’t get away
from the smell; she has the shit
right under her nose.”
Haiku is a 17-syllable verse form consisting of three metrical units of 5, 7, and 5 syllables.
The other day, my wife uttered the above phrase about a friend's situation. Upon reflection (actually, upon my attention drifting away from the point of discussion), I realized her comment fit the format of haiku.
I wondered if others have had this happen - where a comment or phrase comes out as haiku.

This is a haiku by Issa. It has 14 syllables.
"Simply Trust: Do not
the petals flutter down,
just like this?"
Issa
It looks more like 5-6-3.
Variances apparently are allowed.
