Accidental Haiku

“She can’t get away
from the smell; she has the shit
right under her nose.”

Haiku is a 17-syllable verse form consisting of three metrical units of 5, 7, and 5 syllables.

The other day, my wife uttered the above phrase about a friend's situation. Upon reflection (actually, upon my attention drifting away from the point of discussion), I realized her comment fit the format of haiku.

I wondered if others have had this happen - where a comment or phrase comes out as haiku.
